Idaho deadlines for new residents

What’s due after you move, and when

By J&H Digital Services LLCChecked Oct 22, 20268 sources

In short

Two deadlines matter most: an Idaho driver’s license and Idaho title and registration for your car, both within 30 days of moving. You have 60 days to enroll in health insurance after a move, you can vote once you’ve lived here 30 days, and resident hunting and fishing licenses and in-state college tuition take 6 and 12 months.

Vehicle title and registration
Within 30 days; $20 late title penalty after that
Health insurance
60-day special enrollment window after a move
Voting
Eligible after 30 days of residency
Homeowner’s exemption
Apply by Dec. 31 for full credit this year
