City halls, county offices, roads, police non-emergency and animal control

In short

Your city handles things like water, sewer, trash billing, parks and building permits. Your county handles property tax, vehicle registration, elections and courts. In Ada County, ACHD runs almost all local roads, not the cities. For police that is not an emergency, Ada County cities share one dispatch line: (208) 377-6790.
